AMD Athlon 3000G – processor available in the CPU ranking

We are after the premiere of the AMD Athlon 3000G processor, i.e. an economical unit for basic computers. The new model has appeared in our processor ranking.

Athlon 3000G – how does the budget AMD processor look like?

The processor does not impress with the specifications. There are 2 cores / 4 threads at 3.5 GHz clock speed (with the possibility of overclocking), a two-channel DDR4-2666 memory controller and 4 MB L3 cache. In addition, the Radeon Vega 3 graphics system has been integrated here.

AMD Athlon 3000G

The parameters only translate into basic performance – it can be compared to the models from the previous Athlon 200GE series. Athlon 3000G ultimately competes with the Pentium Gold G5400 chip, which also has 2 cores / 4 threads. Both processors are available at a similar price.

The premiere of the most efficient Intel and AMD processors is ahead of us

If you are waiting for more efficient units, we have good news – on November 25, the top Intel Core X models from the Cascade Lake-X generation and AMD Ryzen Threadripper 3000 will debut on the market. It seems that then we will meet the new performance leader in our ranking.
