Android 9 on your computer? Sure, it’s possible

By | April 4, 2019

What operating systems can we install on a computer? Windows, Linux, macOS … and Android! This is possible thanks to Arne Exton, who created the AndEX project. It is based on Android x86 OS designed just for computers. Recently, it has been updated to the latest version of the mobile system marked with the number 9.

AndEX Pie 9.0 Build 190326 is now available. This open source project is provided to users with pre-installed applications such as Mozilla Firefox or Clash of Clans. Unfortunately, we will not find applications from Google, such as the Play Store, but the Aptoide pre-installed allows you to effectively replace it. AndEX works well on almost every new laptop, as well as some desktop computers.

The AndEX Pie system can be run on the computer in three ways: directly from a USB memory stick, installed on a computer’s hard drive, or run on a virtual machine (eg VirtualBox). If there is a GNU / Linux system on our hardware, then AndEX can be installed on the disk next to it.
