Elite Dragonfly is one of the first laptops compatible with the Project Athena standard. Therefore, the equipment should interest business users.
Efficient, compact and ecological. HP presented the Elite Dragonfly laptop, which will work as a device for business users. What's so special about it?
HP Elite Dragonfly – a business laptop with good specifications
HP Elite Dragonfly is a 13.3-inch construction that looks quite inconspicuous at first glance. The manufacturer used the IPS screen with Full HD or 4K resolution – you can rotate it and use the equipment in the form of a tablet. The whole is complemented by an audio system designed in cooperation with Bang & Olufsen.
Available configurations include Intel Core i3-8145U, Core i5-8265U and 8365U processors as well as Core i7-8565U and 8665U (more efficient versions of Core i5 and i7 offer support for the vPro standard). In addition, up to 16 GB LPDDR3-2133 memory and M.2 SSD with a capacity of up to 2 TB are provided. Wi-Fi 6 and the optional LTE 4G modem are responsible for wireless communication.
The manufacturer also boasts a long battery life – a standard cell (38 Wh) is enough for 16.5 hours, while the longer cell (56.2 Wh) for up to 24.5 hours. HP Fast Charge technology allows you to charge the battery to 50% in 30 minutes.
Elite Dragonfly is the first laptop in the world that was partly made of plastic recovered from the oceans (the housing is magnesium, and additionally it has an oleophobic coating). Importantly, the device is also extremely compact – the whole is 16 mm thick and weighs less than a kilogram.
Those who care about security will also appreciate the fingerprint reader, privatization filter (HP Sure View Gen3) and mechanical webcam shutter (HP Privacy Camera). In addition, the manufacturer used HP Sure Sense and HP Sure Recover technologies – the first is responsible for protection against malware, and the second allows for efficient restoration of backup copies. The equipment is compatible with Project Athena.
