The latest version of the Apple operating system: macOS 10.15 Catalina is finally officially available. We advise on how to get it and look at the new products introduced.
The premiere of macOS Catalina
Apple officially released macOS 10.15 Catalina – the update process began on October 7, 2019. As usual, most American giant computer users can download it and it doesn't cost a penny. Why should I decide to upgrade from version 10.14 Mojave?
The most interesting changes in macOS 10.15
macOS 10.15 Catalina is first and foremost saying goodbye to iTunes and welcoming some new multimedia applicationswhose names say it all: Apple Music (with local music library and streaming option), Apple TV (with TV channels and movies and TV series to buy or rent, and soon with the Apple TV + platform), Apple Podcasts (with podcasts) and Apple Books (with audiobooks).
These new multimedia applications are expected to perform better and allow you to enjoy greater order. Apple also argues for more effective material search, thanks to the use of machine learning.
New macOS it also simplifies synchronization and data transfer between devices. Now all this is done through the Finder application, i.e. the Applian file manager. Sidecar, in turn, allows you to transform your iPad into an additional touch panel, which is to be appreciated primarily by users of applications such as Final Cut Pro X or Adobe Illustrator.
You also can not fail to mention the Project Catalyst initiative. Thanks to it, various applications created for iOS and iPadOS mobile systems will be available for macOS users (Twitter and Post-it are on the list). Except that Apple Arcade debuts on Macs and MacBooks, allowing you to play over 100 different games under one subscription.
Of course, all the other minor changes are added, such as Siri's suggestions in Safari, extended blocking and notification options in the email application or graphically refreshed, and therefore more intuitive Notifications.
