Sonos speakers are playing better and better with Spotify

By | November 14, 2019

Spotify Free joins Spotify Premium on the list of compatible services in the Sonos application to control Bluetooth speakers of this manufacturer.

Brand Bluetooth speakers Sonos have some interesting function. From a single mobile application, you can connect to various sources, including the service Spotify and play songs on its servers. So far, however, "only" 100 million users paying the Premium subscription could use this option. With the last update, this situation has changed – now around 140 million people who actively use the free version of the music service also have this opportunity.

Sonos and Spotify work well together

Using the (latest version) Sonos application Spotify Free users can play all songs and podcasts on their speakers located in the service catalog. Naturally, all playlists are supported – both proprietary and personalized, prepared by the service team, including Daily Mix or Radar Premier. The updated interface also makes it easier to search for content.

The manufacturer's catalog includes various speakers: from classic stationary equipment, through soundbars, to portable speakers – the last category has recently been opened by the Move model. The application, however, can be downloaded to Android smartphones and tablets as well as iU Devices, i.e. Apple brand equipment.
