There is a lot of talk about the high computing power of upcoming consoles, but we are still waiting for accurate specifications and performance measurements. A well-known industry journalist suggests that players will be very happy.

PlayStation 5 may be more powerful than NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2080

Jason Schreier from the editorial office was tempted to make bold declarations Kotaku. In the last podcast he participated in, there was no shortage of threads dedicated to the upcoming PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X consoles. As he said, Sony and Microsoft are preparing something really big, both manufacturers are going to hedge here for years – in terms of performance. The most interesting of the entire statement was the comparison of PlayStation 5 to the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2080 graphics card.

Jason Schreier suggested that PlayStation 5's computing power would be higher. The same could therefore be said for the Xbox Series X, because both consoles will be very similar in terms of components. We will not delve into the possibilities of NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2080 here. Some of you know them, the rest we invite you to our extensive review in which you can find all the information and performance results you need. Let's just remind you that NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2080 is about 10 teraflops of power.

PlayStation 5 exclusive games, unlike Xbox Series X

A few days ago we wrote that in the case of Xbox Series X you should not expect exclusive games, and certainly not in the first months of the console's presence on the market. Microsoft intends to make new games available also on PCs and current generation consoles (here for at least a year, or maybe two years).

Jason Schreier says Sony has other plans. And this is information that you can give more faith because other sources also favor it. The games prepared by the studios located under Sony's wings are to hit only on PlayStation 5. The others will, of course, have a free hand, so e.g. Ubisoft should release the next installments of the Assassin's Creed or Far Cry series for both generations for some time. There are many more examples. The list of teams subordinate to Sony is, however, really substantial and includes, for example, Guerrilla Games, Polyphony Digital, Bend Studio, Santa Monica and Naughty Dog. It's easy to see that PS5 has exclusive potential hits to work with.
